Yorkshire’s promising young all-rounder Matthew Revis has put pen to paper on a new deal, committing himself to the county until at least 2028, the club announced on Saturday.
Revis made his Yorkshire debut in 2019, and the Steeton-born is closing in on 3,000 career runs, holding a first-class average of 41 with five centuries already under his belt. With a career-best of 5-50, the 24-year-old has picked up 114 wickets across formats.
Thanks to his impressive run last year, Revis toured Australia with the England Lions over the winter, and the Yorkshire all-rounder will rejoin the squad for their upcoming series against Pakistan Shaheens.
“Yorkshire means everything to me, so to be given this opportunity to sign my new contract is a special moment. I’ve spent all my cricketing life here. It’s an honour to represent the club every day and to play in front of our members and supporters, whose backing I have always appreciated,” Revis said after penning a new deal with the White Rose.
“We have a group who are not just great cricketers, but good mates too. I think this has transferred into positive performances and results on the pitch.”
